  • Day 1 Welcome to Havana

    Arrival in Havana and welcome by our local team Transfer to your accommodation, placed in Old Havana.

  • Day 2 Havana

    Havana Breakfast. 9.00am-Walking tour of Old Havana with our English-speaking guide. Walk through the pedestrian streets admiring the colorful colonial houses. Discovery of the lively little squares around which these streets radiate. In the afternoon, departure to Viñales. Coming to Cuba without passing through Viñales would be a serious mistake. This small village of 15,000 inhabitants is nestled in the heart of a superb valley, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A real postcard setting between unique landscapes and exceptional colors. Possibility to make a stop in the Las Terrazas Natural Park, with its magnificent lake, the zip line, the small waterfalls along the river, the coffee plantations and the local peasant life. On arrival in Viñales we recommend a stop at the Mirador de los Jazmines to enjoy the beautiful view. Settling in with Santiago, a former chef, who can organize, at your request, a typical Cuban cooking class for you. In the evening you can go dancing to Cuban music.

  • Day 3 Viñales

    Viñales Day in Viñales. Opportunity to take a walk in the valley to meet peasant families and share a unique and unforgettable moment ..... the landscapes are enchanting, the karst forms (mogotes) are reminiscent of southern China. We suggest you go visit our friend Alexis, who will show you how to roll a cigar and share a good Cuban coffee with you.
    Possibility also to make an excursion to Cayo Levisa, an island with one of the most beautiful beaches in Cuba. Our representative Ivan will be able to organize an Initiation to Salsa course for you...

  • Day 4 Soroa / Bay of Pigs

    Soroa / Bay of Pigs Today you drive more than 4 hrs. We suggest you leave early. This will allow you to enjoy a beautiful sunrise. On the way, it is recommended to make a stop in Soroa, to visit its Orchid Garden and the Arc en Ciel waterfall. Arrival in Playa Larga in the afternoon. You can visit a crocodile farm or simply dive into the Caribbean Sea...

  • Day 5 Cienfuegos - Trinidad

    Cienfuegos - Trinidad Depart for Trinidad. On the way, you cannot miss a visit to Cienfuegos, the most French of Cuban cities. This city has earned its title of World Heritage Site. A walk along its Boulevard surrounded by a dream Neoclassical architecture... to arrive at the heart of its Central Square... don't forget to visit the Valle Palace on the tip of the peninsula...

  • Day 6 Trinidad / La Havane

    Trinidad / La Havane Morning devoted to wandering the cobbled and steep streets to marvel at the colonial architecture and the scenes of life that are played out on every street corner. We usually say that this town is a living open-air museum; the bravest will go up to the weather station to enjoy its beautiful view of the Valley of los Ingenios, the Escambray massif and the Caribbean coast on the other side, an exceptional 360 degree panorama! In the afternoon, departure for Havana. Accommodation in private hotel.

  • Day 7 Merida - Yucatan

    Merida - Yucatan Transfer to the airport to take the flight Havana / Mexico. Arrival in Merida. Welcomed by our representative. Transfer to the city. Information meeting to go over the details of the itinerary. We spend the night in a hotel/guest house in Mérida. Free time to visit the city.

  • Day 8 Merida, capital of the Hammock

    Merida, capital of the Hammock Breakfast at the hotel. City tour of Merida. We recommend the visit/ride of the historic center of Mérida in a horse-drawn carriage, where you can see the important places of the colonial zone. We recommend that you take the Turibus, to have a wider visit to the city. Do not forget to visit the Grand Museum of the Maya World and the museums of the mansions of Paseo Montejo. Mérida is the capital of the hammock. We suggest you visit a hammock factory, very close to the center, where you will learn the details of the manufacturing process of typical Mexican hammocks. To eat, there are many options, but we will give you our best addresses where the authentic taste of regional cuisine is offered.
    If time permits, you may be able to take part in the unique experience of cochinita pibil.

  • Day 9 Merida / Izamal

    Merida / Izamal After breakfast, departure for Izamal City, a magical city in Mexico, founded in the mid-16th century on the remains of an ancient Mayan city. In the city itself, you will have the opportunity to visit the Mayan pyramid of Kinich Kakmo, snack at the city market. Route Mérida - Izamal (80.0 km / 90 Min.) We spend the night in a hotel/guest house in Izamal.

  • Day 10 Izamal - Xcajum - Chichen Itza - Valladolid

    Izamal - Xcajum - Chichen Itza - Valladolid Breakfast at the hotel. In Izamal, we recommend a horse-drawn carriage ride through the town. Departure to the city of Valladolid. On the way, we suggest stopping at Cenote Xcajum: Open cenote with a depth of 40 meters and 4 viewpoints to admire its beauty. Route Izamal City - Cenote Xcajum ( 40.0 km / 30 Min.) You should not miss the visit of the archaeological site of Chichen-Itzá: The great Mayan pyramid. Cenote Xcajum - Chichen Itza route. (30.0 km / 25 Min.) Continuation to the city of Valladolid. Terms and conditions

Inscription

Booking a trip with Altaï Cuba implies acceptance of the terms and conditions of sale. Each customer is required to complete a registration form and, subject to availability at the time of registration, travellers are expected to pay a deposit of 30% of the total price to complete their booking. Payments can be made online or by bank transfer. You will receive an e-mail with your booking confirmation.

Facturation

Once your booking is confirmed you will receive an invoice by e-mail. The full balance of the trip must be received at least 30 days before your departure date. Altaï Cuba reserve the right to cancel your booking, free of charge, if this deadline is not respected.

Annulation

If for any reason you have to cancel your trip, Altaï Cuba require written confirmation of your decision. The money you have paid will then be refunded according to the following deductions:

  • Cancellation received more than 30 days prior to the departure date: a sum of €50 per person will be retained
  • Cancellation received 30 to 21 days before the departure date: your deposit, 30% of the total trip price will be retained
  • Cancellation received 20 to 14 days before the departure date: 50% of the total trip price will be retained
  • Cancellation received 13 to 7 days before the departure date: 75% of the total trip price will be retained
  • Cancellation received less than 7 days before the departure date: 100% of the total trip price will be retained

Special cases:
Please note that, regardless of the date of cancellation or modification if you have agreed to pay for services such as hotel reservations, flights or additional activities, these services are usually non-refundable so additional fees may apply.
  • Fixed airfares: if your airline ticket was issued in advance, often done to avoid significant surcharges, you will be charged 100% of any non-refundable fees if you wish to change or cancel your flight plan.
  • Fixed in-country costs: early charges for firm bookings will be charged if you cancel or modify your trip.
  • Insurance costs: if you have taken out comprehensive or cancellation insurance, the cost of insurance is due and cannot be refunded.

Please note that fees apply according to the date we receive your cancellation or modification request in writing.

If we have to cancel a departure due to an insufficient number of participants, you will be informed no later than 21 days before departure and a full refund will be issued, you will not be entitled to further compensation. We reserve the rights to cancel departures due to exceptional circumstances which may impact the safety of participants. Such circumstances include those amounting to 'force majeure' in which case participants will receive a full refund but they will not be entitled to any compensation.

Modification du contrat

If you wish to make a change to your booking please contact Altaï Cuba in writing; you will be expected to pay any fee which might arise from this change. In the event of unforeseen external events, Altaï Cuba may change some aspects of the travel contract. If any changes are necessary you will be informed as quickly as possible.

Prix et révision des prix

The prices on our website are updated regularly and all of the prices we advertise are accurate when published. Altaï Cuba reserve the rights to make changes to any of these prices. Before you make a booking we will give you the up-to-date price of your chosen holiday including any supplements, upgrades or additional activities you may have requested. If the number of travellers is fewer than the indicated number of participants on the website, a small group surcharge may be applied. For all of our trips we include details of services, prices and what is/is not included but please be aware that changes to the prices may be necessary in accordance with exchange rates or price changes of various components of the journey.

Cession du contrat

If you are unable to travel for any reason, you can transfer your booking to another person in which case our modification conditions apply. Both the transferor and transferee will be jointly and severally liable for payment of the total holiday price and other associated expenses. Some airline carriers treat name changes as cancellations and you may be required to pay for the cost of a new ticket.

Insurance

By law, all tourists visiting Cuba must have travel insurance to cover medical costs. You may be asked to provide proof of your travel insurance policy when you arrive at the airport.

We strongly recommend that you take out personal travel insurance for your trip with Altaï Cuba as soon as your booking is confirmed. We advice you to purchase a travel insurance policy which covers flight cancellations, luggage loss and emergency health care. Please look carefully at which activities are covered by your insurer and do not forget to bring all necessary documents and information with you (name of the company, name of the contract, insurance policy number, telephone number...)
