Floridita and Ernest Hemingway

Floridita is a famous bar founded in 1817 at Obispo street No 153 in Old Havana. In 1932, Ernest Hemingway settled at Ambos Mundos hotel, 400 mts from this bar. The legend says that first time Hemingway visited Floridita, he asked for a daiquiri (spciality of the house) and he said, it is very good, but i prefer with no sugar and double rhum. The barman prepared the cocktail and said: take Papa!!! This is how his surname was born and the cocktail was baptized: Double Papa or Papa Hemingway!!!!
